Recently Sogeti performed its first DYA engagement in the USA. Marlies van Steenbergen was flown in from the Netherlands by a Seattle-based company to perform a DYA assessment and recommend on actions of further professionalization of the architecture practice. 

The charter was clear: perform interviews with a selected number of employees, investigate the architecture products that have already been developed, discuss findings with the enterprise architecture team, formulate recommendations, build a presentation on DYA and the findings and recommendations and deliver the presentation to management and employees. The time frame was short: four intense days of hard work. Nevertheless, results were delivered and expectations met, also because of the close cooperation and team work from Sogeti and the client. The engagement provided a boost to the work of the architecture team, gave focus to their plan of action and with renewed strength brought to the attention of the organization the importance and added value of architecture.

Hopefully this will be the first engagement of many more to come. The Seattle branch of Sogeti USA is ready to go ahead full speed.
