Can’t you see the forest for the architecture trees anymore? Well, keep looking at this site.
DYA…..Architecturally
This site is dedicated solely to enterprise architecture and the Sogeti developed DYA approach. As time goes by, DYA (DYnamic Architecture) has developed into a defacto standard for working with architecture in Dutch organisations. Other countries like Sweden and the US also make use of DYA. On this site you will find a great deal of information about DYA and enterprise architecture. Should you have questions, please feel free to contact us.
We at Sogeti would be happy to help you!
On June 13th 2007 Sogeti has launched the book “SOA for Profit” in Amsterdam (the Netherlands).
The book is written by an international team of SOA-specialists from Sogeti and IBM. In the book you will find a great number of cases and examples, based on real situations and project within a great number of international companies and organizations. The book also contains numerous guidelines that help you to implement and realise Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) within your company.
Both representatives from international companies and from several scientific institutes and universities are very possitive on this book. In the first chapter you will find a number of endorcements, stating and underlining the 'power' of this book: clearly written, directly applicable in your daily situation, using practical examples and cases from every day life.
If you want more information on Service Oriented Architecture and/or the services that Sogeti can offer you, please contact John Immerzeel (+31(0)88-660 6600 + 3821).

Therefor they have opened a so called SOA-Weblog geopend, where you can drop your contributions. Your are invited to visit the SOA-Weblog.

Enterprise architecture is hot. Every supplier, both on the services and the products side, is talking about enterprise architecture, what it is and how to use it.
The biggest hype is -of course- SOA, Service Oriented Architecture. The market calls it ESA (SAP), On Demand (IBM), Fusion (Oracle) or Connected Systems (Microsoft). Different names does not necessary mean different approaches. The basis is always the same; the focus on services, the different structure of processes.
At Sogeti we believe that enterprise architecture is all about the process and not about the product. That's why we developed DYA.
DYA stands for DYnamic Architecture and is the method for implementing working with architecture. This website is all about architecture and about DYA in particular.
DYA is within the Netherlands the most used method for enterprise architecture and is more and more used within Europe and the USA.
I hope that this site will help and inspire you. Please contact us if you want to discuss further on the interesting world of enterprise architecture.

The majority of the countries world wide has to deal nowedays with a major fincancial crisis, which has his impact on economics an companies all over the world. For many of them this is why companies are cutting their budgets and put projects on hold.
Projects are stopped as it is recognized their business cases are no longer valid. This includes many SOA initiatives, even when based on solid business cases at the time. Only projects that directly reduce cost in a very short term are started or kept alive.
Piet Jan Baarda and Martin van den Berg (both senior architects at SOgeti Netherlands) have written an article 'Recession proof SOA'. In this article they underline the power of Service Oriented Architecture, especially in these difficult times.
Very worth reading it.
You can download the article at the Publications-page of the DYA website.
Enterprise Architecture (EA) is slowly becoming an interesting area for organizations in Sweden. IT Governance issues are in reality the most common but through EA they are more easily handled. Today, I would say that about 50% of organizations in Sweden have reached the appropriate level of understanding and maturity and have started to really see the importance of EA.
